Title: Fuzzy Control Implementation for Energy Management in Hybrid Electric Vehicle
Abstract: The energy and power management control strategies for parallel hybrid vehicles are illustrated for optimising the fuel economy. In this paper fuzzy logic control is implemented with the secondary development of this strategy in the advanced vehicle simulator. The logic controller is simulated and the results are explained by simulating the model in two different modes, these modes are about fuel use optimisation and the efficiency optimisation. The concept is to optimise the operating efficiency of the components by considering it as a system. The forward facing approach is used for simulating the model and to implement the control strategy. After analysing the results it can be said that this fuzzy logic control strategy is able in optimising the fuel economy if only engines operating efficiency can be increased. This is the additional feature of this strategy to optimise fuel economy by maximising the operating efficiency only which is not possible in other control strategies.
