The algorithm for the joint analysis of signals of continuous arterial blood pressure (APB) and heart rate is the basis for creating the system. Beat-to-beat ABP is recorded using the pulse wave propagation time. It is defined as the difference between the moment of the cardiac cycle (according to the ECG signal) and the moment of the pulse wave arrival (according to the PPG signal). Baroreflex is assessed by comparing the phase relationships between the pulsed arterial pressure and heart rate signals in the standard heart rate frequency ranges (HF, LF, VLF). Frequency processing in these ranges is performed by using digital filtering. Examples of recorded signals and their comparison are presented.Read More
