Title: Detection of n-hexane,benzene,toluene and xylene in workplace air by vapor phase chromatography
Abstract: Objective To establish thermal desorption vapor phase chromatography for detection of n-hexane,benzene,toluene and xylene in workplace air. Methods The experiments were conducted in laboratory and on the site according to standard technique for detection of toxic substances in workplace air. Results The detection of n-hexane,benzene,Toluene and xylene have a good reproducibility, and the relative standard deviation(RSD)was less than 4.9%,The minimum detection limit was 2.4 mg/m3,the recovery rates of thermal desorption vapor phase chromatography were over than 80%.N-hexane,benzene,toluene and xylene in workplace air could be detected simultaneously by this method. Conclusions This method meets the requirement of standard technique for detection of toxic substances in workplace air, which is suitable for simultaneous detection of n-hexane,Benzene,Toluene and xylene in workplace air.
