However, the progenitor system and explosion mechanism of SNeⅠ a are still controversial. We review the observed properties of different types of SNeⅠ a, as well as their explosion mechanisms and progenitor systems. The observed photometric and spectroscopic scatter of SNeⅠ a cannot be explained by any single model and geometric effect, and may arise from explosions of multiple progenitor+companion channels. It is necessary to identify a subgroup of progenitors with more uniform properties for precision cosmology studies in the future.Read More
