Abstract:The electrochemical methods were employed to study hot corrosion of Fe-Cr al-loys in molten NaCl-(Na,K)_2SO_4 at 800℃,and the reaction products were examined bymetallographic and EPMA techniques.The e...The electrochemical methods were employed to study hot corrosion of Fe-Cr al-loys in molten NaCl-(Na,K)_2SO_4 at 800℃,and the reaction products were examined bymetallographic and EPMA techniques.The experimental results indicate that the addition of Crto alloy can improve the corrosion resistance.Oxidation-sulfidation is responsible for the accel-erated attack of Fe5Cr and Fe10Cr alloys.Scale fluxing may accelerate the corrosion of Fe20Crand Fe25Cr alloys,and the mechanical failure of scale may also give rise to the accelerated cor-rosion.Read More
