Title: Band distribution of digestive enzymes in alimentary canal of bee and its α amylase activities
Abstract: Extracted solutions of different parts (foregut, midgut and hindgut) of alimentary canal of bee were isolated by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The results showed that there was significant difference of the sorts of digestive enzymes between Apis mellifera ligustica and Apis cerana cerana. In details there was only one band (R 1) in foregut of both A.m.ligustica and A.c.cerana, while five bands in their midgut (R 1, R 3, R 4, R 5, R 9 in A.m.ligustica and R 1, R 3, R 4, R 6, R 10 in A.c.cerana), but there were five bands in hindgut of A.m.ligustica and none in A.c.cerana. Meanwhile, α amylase activities in foregut, midgut and hindgut of both bees were decreased in order and higher in foregut and midgut of A.c.cerana than those of A.m.ligustica while no significant difference in hindgut of both bees.
