Title: Interparadigmatische Umlautschemata im Deutschen? Evidenzen aus dem kindlichen Spracherwerb und der Sprachproduktion Erwachsener
Abstract: Umlautschemata finden sich in diversen Bereichen der deutschen Morphologie, etwa in der Pluralbildung von Substantiven (Köpcke 1993), der Verbalflexion, der Adjektivkomparation und in verschiedenen Kategorien der Derivation (z.B. Diminutivbildung, Movierung). Diachron zeigen diese einzelnen Bereiche höchst interessante und teilweise unterschiedliche Entwicklungen (vgl. Nübling 2013), doch wie wirken sie in den Köpfen heutiger Sprecherinnen und Sprecher des Deutschen aus unterschiedlichen Altersgruppen zusammen oder wie beeinflussen sie einander? Da sich der Umlaut in verschiedenen Regionen des deutschen Sprachraums teilweise unterschiedlich entwickelt hat und besonders der Süden einerseits als phonologisch umlautfeindlich und andererseits als morphologisch umlautfreundlich gilt (Nübling 2013), fokussieren wir unser Interesse auf Umlautschemata des Deutschen in Österreich. Anhand spontaner und experimenteller Daten von Kindern und Erwachsenen aus unterschiedlichen Regionen Österreichs präsentieren wir allgemeine Tendenzen zu Erwerb und Produktion interparadigmatischer Umlautschemata bei Pluralbildung und Adjektivkomparation in Österreich sowie individuelle Präferenzen unterschiedlicher Sprecherinnen und Sprecher.
