Abstract:Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the context of the phenomenon experienced in the decision making process and to specify the choice for continuing equestrian leisure sport in the decis...Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the context of the phenomenon experienced in the decision making process and to specify the choice for continuing equestrian leisure sport in the decision making process.<BR> Method: Eleven equestrian participants were interviewed by applying the grounded theory of qualitative research. The collected data were analyzed through the process of "open coding" and "axial coding" according to Strauss & Corbin (1998) "grounded theory" analysis method.<BR> Results: The results of this study were as follows. First, the reason why post baby boom generation showed behavioral adherence to equestrian participation was a high level of desire in psychological needs. Second, equestrian participation should reinforce the educational trait of a leisure sport. <BR> Conclusion: In summary, findings in the study confirm that this study provided a meaningful framework applied to the theoretical basis and practice to understand the comprehensive theoretical basis of equestrian participation.Read More
