This is due to atmospheric absorption and scattering of visible information, resulting in poor object visibility. It is necessary to estimate the quantifiable parameters of this atmospheric degradation to improve the visibility. Dehazing models attempt to estimate scattering parameters. Single image dehazing models are observed to possess estimation of inaccurate textures, thereby leading to blocking artifacts. The imbalances in the concentration of atmospheric particles and air-light are crucial, that should be mitigated. The available models have to be improved in terms of image parameters such as contrast, saturation and color information. The work reported in this paper emphasized the model that estimates intensified transmission map from the hazy images with color distortions and thereby exploiting scattering parameters for dehazing.Read More
