Title: The Summer Has Ended and We Are Not Saved! Towards a Transformative Agenda for Africa's Development
Abstract: The Article examines the debt relief promised to African states by the G8 at its 2005 London Summit, arguing that Africa needs more than handouts from the West to overcome its poverty. The Article argues that any serious effort towards assisting Africa to overcome its poverty must address the three trajectories to Africa's development crisis: the debt question, the aid question, and the trade question. The Article also calls on African states to take up the challenge of internal accountability, including obstructive regulatory and economic policies, for sustainable development.
