Title: A Supervisory Control Scheme for Efficient Power Management and Seamless Transition in AC Microgrid
Abstract: The grid connected solar photovoltaic (PV) are widely utilized. However, in absence of grid, the available power in solar PV remains unutilized. This article suggests control scheme for off grid photovoltaic system, which consists of multiple sources. A centralized control scheme is proposed to achieve better voltage regulation of the system under dynamic conditions. The proposed control technique ensures minimum burden on voltage source. The maximum utilization of sources is achieved using proposed control scheme. The proposed controller allows transient free transition from on grid to off grid. The modified voltage control in standalone mode allows better voltage regulation and transient free operation on changes in the load demands. The modified proposed control scheme in off grid mode ensures minimal burden on the voltage source. A complimentary revised control method is proposed to ensure active power injection based on the availability of source power and the reactive power is supplied as required by the local loads.
