Title: Comparative Analysis of Electric Drives Control Systems Applied to Two-Phase Induction Motors
Abstract: This paper discusses the improvement of two-phase motor control systems. In the last 100 years two-phase induction motors have been massively replaced by the three-phase motors, but nevertheless in many industries, they are still good solution. These areas are high-power traction drives with DC motors used in electric vehicles. Or vice versa, low-power household drives fed by single-phase grid or DC battery, where, unregulated single-phase induction motors or small DC motors are used. There are many control algorithms available for two-phase drives. However, at the beginning of each study in this area, the authors in advance gave preference to one of them and did not conduct a comprehensive analysis. This requires a comprehensive analysis that can show which control system is the best for a particular electric drive. This paper provides a similar analisys of several models of two-phase drives.
