More, Gottfried, after developing his points of general attack, goes on to argue that both Frye himself, in the Anatomy and in his essay The Structure of Imagery in Faerie Queene, and A. C. Hamilton, working under Frye's influence in Structure of Allegory in The Faerie Queene, have practiced a kind of criticism that has dangerously misrepresented many aspects of [Spenser's] poem.'
