The devices are researched in various kinds of types such as passive check valves, active valves and so on, however the many of them have multilayered structure, resulting in the complexity of fabrication processes. In this research, a single layered pneumatic controlled check valve is proposed. In addition to the function to change flow rate of main channel by pneumatic pressure, it works as a check valve due to the shape made asymmetrically, so it can be expected to be a new type of valve that has characteristics of both passive valves and active valves. In the experiment, controllability of flow rate and diodicity in flow direction were confirmed, the control ratio of flow rate difference was 21 % in average under the condition of 40 kPa of main pressure and 80 kPa of control pressure.Read More
