Title: The Intellectual Property Risks of Integrating Public Digital Cultural Resources in China
Abstract: To integrate public digital cultural resources is to cluster, integrate, and reorganize the scattered and relatively independent digital resources from libraries, museums, art galleries, cultural museums, and other public cultural institutions, to form an orderly joined digital resource system. However, there are intellectual property risks in the integration process. This paper discusses the intellectual property risks of integrating public digital cultural resources from three aspects: the change of the subject, object, and content. Moreover, some management measures are put forward, including easing restrictions on the integration of public digital cultural resources, establishing a copyright collective agency system, publishing necessary copyright statements, and protecting independent intellectual property.
