Title: STUDY ON MOLYBDENUM AND RHENIUM SORPTION ON 10 ANIONITE FROM VARIOUS MEDIUMS AND CHROMATOGRAPHIC SEPARATION OF THESE ELEMENTS
Abstract: The distribution of rhenium and molybdenum between anionite and HCl, HNO/ sub 3/, H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/ and H/sub 3/PO/sub 4/ solutions was studied under static conditions with the use of radioactive isotopes, Re/sup 186/ and Mo/sup 99/ . The difference in rhenium and molybdenum sorption from a phosphoric acid medium may be explained by the formation of a complex molybdenum anion which is well detained by active resin groups. The separation of various synthetic mixtures of rhenium and molybdenum was aceomplished under dynamic conditions. 2 M H/sub 3/PO/sub 4/ was used for washing out rhenium, whereas molybdenum was washed with 10% solution of NaOH. The method is suitable for the isolation of rhenium from molybdenum and technetium from irradiated molybdenum samples. (tr- auth)
