The aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) has become more important in atmospheric science research, andseveral researchers have done many studies on it in different regions of China and around the world. In thispaper, we have chosen six sites (Hangzhou, Jinan, Linan, Nanjing, Shanghai, and Shouxian) located in EastChina to inter-compare the AOD retrieved from the Moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS) and Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) satellites during 2005-2018. Besides AOD,we also utilized to study on the Angstrom exponent measured at 470/660 nm overland (AE) and investigatedtheir relationship in identifying the aerosol types. Further, we identified the sources of aerosol emissions andthe transport pathways utilizing the Hybrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory (HYSPLIT)model arriving at the observation sites during the study periodRead More
