Abstract: Despite being one of the most vigorous education system in the world, all components in Indian Education System are highly detached. The system lacks flexibility and the ability to skill students for their professional lives. It also limits innovative and holistic growth of students which is unhealthy for a developing country. We discuss the National Education Policy 2020 that targets to solve the existing problems and change the future face of the Indian Education System. It aims to provide for high quality application-based education which would emphasize research. In addition to this, we also propose the development of a Practical Credit System to bridge the gap between employer expectation and student skillset. We believe that the development of such a system would ensure all-round development of every student.
