Title: Accelerated testing of a recycled road structure made with reclaimed asphalt pavement material
Abstract: The study focuses on implementing the reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) recycling method on a classical road pavement, by totally replacing the base course with one made with reclaimed materials. For this purpose, four flexible pavements were constructed, instrumented and tested on an accelerated pavement testing (APT) facility, while capturing the structural condition. The contribution of each structural layer to the total rut depth and the variations of maximum strains were determined. The APT provided reasonable results that reinforce the potentially promising considerations of implementing the RAP recycling method in the perspective of the future development of the road networks.
