In this investigation, two different methodologies under MCDM approach i.e. Preference selection index (PSI) and Preference ranking organization method for enrichment evaluation (PROMETHEE) are chosen to select suitable composite material for specific engineering design problem using criteria weights for ranking of the alternatives. In this work eight numbers of alternative composites and eight criteria for material selection is used for determining ranking for optimal design. It is observed from this analysis that MCDM approach is quite easy to understand, effortless to execute for assigning rankings to the alternative materials.Read More
