Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of 1% lidocaine local injection on alleviating 18G venous cannulation pain.Methods 100 patients were randomly divided into two groups(each had 50 cases),local anesthesi...Objective To observe the effect of 1% lidocaine local injection on alleviating 18G venous cannulation pain.Methods 100 patients were randomly divided into two groups(each had 50 cases),local anesthesia group used 1% lidocaine 0.2 ml local injections firstly,then performed 18 G vein line needle puncture.The control group performed 18G vein line needle puncture directly.The pain was assessed by visual analogue scale method(VAS).Results 25 patients felt no pain,24 felt mild pain,1 felt moderate pain and no patient felt severe pain in local anesthesia group,and the number was 0,8,31 and 11 respectively in sequence in control group,there was significantly difference(Z =-8.136,P <0.01).Conclusions 1% lidocaine local injection can alleviate the pain of 18G vein line needle cannulation.
