Title: The efficacy of Neiguan press combined with ginger slices for prevention and treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting after gynaecological surgery
Abstract: Objective To explore the efficacy of Neiguan press combined with ginger slices for prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting after gynaecological surgery.Methods 100 patients undergoing gynecological surgery were randomly divided into a control group and a study group.After completion of surgery,the control received routine postoperatie gynaecological nursing,while the study group received Neiguan press and ginger slice after they became consciousness.Postoperative nausea and vomiting and the efficacy were observed in both groups.Results Only two patients did not respond to the therapy in the study group,with a effectiveness rate of was 96%,and 4 patients had to use anti-nausea medications,with a rate of 8%.As compared with the control group,the incidence rate of nausea and vomiting were lower and the degree was slighter in the study group,with statistical significances (P<0.05).Conclusions Neiguan press combined with ginger slices can effectively prevent and treat postoperative nausea and vomiting after gynaecological surgery.It is safe,convenient,and feasible,and has important clinical significance.
