Title: Pemetrexed and cisplatin for elderly patients with non-small cell carcinoma of peripheral blood lymphocyte phenotype changes
Abstract: Objective
To investigate the effect of pemetrexed combined with cisplatin chemotherapy on elderly patients with non-small cell carcinoma of peripheral blood lymphocyte phenotype change.
Methods
Fifty elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer from February 2013 to October 2015 were selected, all of them were treated by chemotherapy for training pemetrexed in combination with cisplatin; the treatment period lasted two or more cycles. CD3+ , CD4+ , CD8+ , CD16+ 56+ , CD19+ cells and CD4+ / CD8+ levels in peripheral blood before and after treatment were recorded.
Results
Before and after chemotherapy, CD8+ , CD19+ , CD3+ compared with no significant change, but CD4+ , CD4+ / CD8+ , CD16+ 56+ than before chemotherapy were significantly increased (P<0.05).
Conclusion
Using pemetrexed combined with cisplatin treatment in elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer, in some extent, promote reconstruction in patients with immune function and enhancements will help to improve the prognosis, and the reconstruction effects are more significant for patients with advanced disease.
