Title: Clinicopathological analysis of Henoch-schonlein nephritis patients with mild proteinuria
Abstract: Objectives To clarify the clinicopathological features of purpura nephritis. Methods The clinical manifestations, laboratory and renal pathology of Henoch-sch? nlein nephritis patients with mild proteinuria were retrospectively analyzed and compared. Results of 37 Henoch-sch? nlein nephritis patients included,male/female were 21/16; and the mean age were 31 ± 15(16-64)years.hematuria with proteinuria was found in 30 patients (81%) and isolated proteinuria in 7 patients(19%).Abnormal renal function was found in 5 patients (13%).of 25 patients who underwent renal biopsy, crescent formation was observed in 52% of patients,48% of patients showed tubular atrophy,16% showed interstitial fibrosis, and 28% showed vascular lesions.Compared with younger, higher level of serum uric acid,low-density lipoprotein, triglyceride, the rate of hypertension, more serious interstitial and vascular lesions were found in patients of older ages.Complement remission were observed in 35 patients (95%).Conclusions Renal biopsy is important in Henoch-sch? nlein nephritis patients with mild proteinuria in order to make diagnosis and individual treatment.Older patients should pay attention to the control of blood pressure and blood lipids to delay the progress of chronic pathologic changes.
