Title: Application of liver hanging maneuver combined with selective hemihepatic occlusion during anterior approach half hepatectomy
Abstract: Objective To investigate the feasibility and safety of blood flow occlusion in huge tumor hepatectomy. Methods Twenty-one cases of huge hepatic tumor were treated with liver hanging maneuver and selective hemihepatic occlusion during anterior approach. Results The blood loss was little during the operation, operation time was short, liver function recovered quickly after operation, there was no liver or renal dysfunction,no death caused by operation occured. Conclusions The application of liver hanging maneuver and selective hemihepatic occlusion during anterior approach hemihepatectomy is a safe and effective method for bloodlese hepatectomy.
