Title: Clinical analysis of nasal endoscopic surgery combined with drugs in the treatment of chronic sinusitis complicating by nasal polyps
Abstract: Objective
To explore the clinical effect of nasal endoscopic surgery combined with drugs in the treatment of chronic sinusitis complicating by nasal polyps.
Methods
84 patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps treated in our hospital from August 2015 to May 2017 were divided into the study group and the control group. The study group was treated with nasal endoscopic surgery combined with drugs, and the control group was treated with nasal endoscopic surgery alone. The clinical therapeutic effect, the rate of postoperative complications, and the rate of recurrence within one year of the two groups were compared.
Results
The total effective rate of treatment in the study group (92.86%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (76.19%) (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in the study group (4.76%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (21.43%) (P<0.05). The rate of recurrence in the study group (2.38%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (16.67%) within one year (P<0.05).
Conclusion
The combination of drug therapy and nasal endoscopic surgery is effective in the treatment of chronic sinusitis complicating by nasal polyps. Compared with the simple endoscopic surgery, its treatment effect is more obvious, with low rate of complications and short-term recurrence rate, is an efficient and safe method of treatment.
