Title: Investigation on the use of aerosol inhalation in pediatric out-patients of a hospital
Abstract: Objective
To investigate the present use of aerosol inhalation drugs in pediatric out-patients of our hospital, and to promote rational use of drugs in clinical practice.
Method
A total of 3 919 prescriptions which contained aerosol inhalation were selected in pediatric out-patient of our hospital from July to August 2016 to conduct retrospective analysis.
Results
The Budesonide suspension, Ipratropium Bromide solution, Terbutaline Sulphate solution, and Salbutamol Sulphate solution were the first fourth used aerosol inhalation drugs in pediatric out-patients, while the coincidence rate of patients’ indications to drug instructions were 90.56%, 83.93%, 84.47%, and 85.52%, respectively. The aerosol inhalation drugs were mainly used for acute bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis, bronchopneumonia and so on.
Conclusion
The application status of aerosol inhalation drugs exists unreasonable phenomena, which needs further improvement.
