Forty years of researches have demonstrated that EBV infection is closely related to a variety of hematological diseases, such as infectious mononucleosis, EBV-related lymphoproliferative disorders, lymphoma and hemophagocytic syndrome. This paper reviews EBV-associated hematological diseases and its pathogenic mechanism.
