Title: Application progress of HIV genotypic drug resistance testing in antiretroviral therapy
Abstract: With the widely application of HAART and prolonged treatment time, HIV drug resistance is becoming more serious. The emergence of HIV drug resistant strains has reduced the effects of HAART, and even caused drug resistant strains' transmission. Therefore, drug resistance testing has become an important monitoring method in the process of antiviral therapy. Currently, HIV genotypic drug resistance testing has been formally applied to clinical management. This article reviews the principle, classification and methods of HIV genotypic drug resistance testing, the clinical values of detected mutation sites and drug resistance results after HIV first-line drug resistance in China, as well as drug resistance testing indications of HIV/AIDS patients in different infection periods and special populations.
