Title: Effect of dorsal root ganglion pulsed radiofrequency combined with pregabalin on the patients with postherpetic neuralgia
Abstract: Objective
To study the effect of dorsal root ganglion pulsed radiofrequency combined with pregabalin on patients with postherpetic neuralgia.
Methods
Seventy-four cases of patients with postherpetic neuralgia were randomly divided into control group (puribalin treatment) and observation group (dorsal root ganglion pulsed radiofrequency combined with puri balin treatment) , 37 cases in each group. The incidence were compared between the two groups of pain and adverse reaction.
Results
After treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups were significantly lower than that before treatment, and the VAS scores of observation group was lower than control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the incidence of somnolence, dizziness and ataxia in the observation group were lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion
Dorsal root ganglion pulsed radiofrequency combined with pregabalin in treatment of postherpetic neuralgia, can effectively relieve pain, reduce the adverse reaction during the treatment, reduce patient discomfort and has high security.
