Title: Clinical analysis of carotid atherosclerosis plaque in 540 cases of suspected coronary artery disease
Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between carotid atherosclerotic plaques and coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods Totally 540 patients with suspected coronary artery disease were divided into CAD group and control group according to the results of coronary angiography. The CAD group was further subdivided into MI group and non-M1 group. All patients underwent carotid ultrasound. The incidence rate of plaque was calculated and compared statistically. Results The incidence rate of plaque in CAD group was significantly higher than that in CON group (P < 0.05).Conclusions The occurence of carotid atherosclerotic plaques is related with the coronary artery disease, can be used as a predictor of coronary artery disease.
