In this study, a U-shaped neobladder reservoir was constructed by detubulization and reanastomosis of 2 ileal arms. In physical terms, a globular reservoir has a larger capacity compared with that of a U-shaped reservoir. However, during the operation, the tension between the vesicourethral anastomosis and mesenteric root causes the neobladder to be pulled toward the pelvic wall, forming a long ellipsoid reservoir, regardless of whether a U-shaped or Studer reservoir is used.
