Title: ANALISA DAN SIMULASI PERBANDINGAN ALGORITMA WESTWOOD DAN ALGORITMA SELECTIVE ACKNOWLEDGMENT OPTION PADA SISTEM KENDALI KONGESTI JARINGAN TCP
Abstract: In this paper, we compared standard algorithm of congestion control named TCP Reno with TCP Selective Acknowledgment Option which have Selective ACK to clearly informing the sender about data has been received. Then, we compared a new version of TCP Protocol, called TCP Westwood which is a sender side modification of TCP Reno. TCP Westwood use ACK Rate to calculate cwnd and sstresh. Review from this paper is about effectiveness, stability, friendliness, and retransmittion ratio from the algorithm above.
Simulation result show that TCP Westwood got the highest throughput than the others even the error rate run into 5%. In stability, TCP Westwood is the most stable algorithm when it has a large number of connection with bottleneck link. About friendliness, TCP Reno is better paired with TCP SACK because both algorithm can use bandwidth fairly while TCP Westwood will dominate the bandwidth if it is paired with e of that algorithm.
