Title: Analysis of composite propellant energy and correlation with specific impulse at vacuum level
Abstract: The rocket performance is measured by the density impulse (propellant density multiplied by the specific impulse of propellant, Isp). In this paper the bomb calorimeter was used to determine the propellant decomposition energy and with semiempirical approach to calculate composite propellant Isp at vacuum level. The proposed method is simple and fast in determining Isp propellant, and the results are accurate for theoretical calculations and static tests of experimental rocket motors.
