Title: System-level Evaluation on Practical Massive MIMO Deployment Scenarios for 5G
Abstract: Nowadays, the commercialization of 5G is in full swing all over the world. Massive MIMO, as one of the promising technologies, will be applied in 5G networks. However, various Massive MIMO equipment forms (for instance, 16/32/64TXRU) and diverse 5G deployment scenarios (for instance, Dense Urban/Urban/Suburban/Rural) make the deployment of Massive MIMO systems very complicated. Thus, how to make reasonable choices of Massive MIMO equipment forms for different practical deployment scenarios is a key issue. In this paper, in-depth researches on current products are conducted first and then system-level simulations for different Massive MIMO deployment scenarios are performed to provide reasonable advices for Massive MIMO equipment selection with considering the tradeoff between cost and system performance.
