Title: Rapid Precision Evaluation of Roundness Error in Polar Coordinates
Abstract: A new method for evaluating roundness error in polar coordinates is proposed. The principle and procedure of solving roundness error are described in detail. A certain number of uniformly distributed position points are preset as the initial evaluation center. The maximum value, minimum value and extreme value difference between each position point and measurement point are calculated by using the two-point distance formula. To reduce the search area, the smaller center area and its position point are created with the extreme point as the center. The comparison and measurement results of the actual roundness error show that the method proposed is accurate and fast, and has a good application prospect.
