One such technology is Software-Defined Radio (SDR), which plays a very important role in telecommunications, military sectors, etc. SDR being a flexible transceiver comprises the hardware part- Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP, here USRP B210) and the software part-GNU Radio. Also, video transmission/ broadcasting plays a vital role in the field of communications. Stereotypical digital video broadcasting systems used fixed modulation schemes that had to provide reliable communication even in unfavorable channel environments. This paper aims at designing Digital Video Broadcasting- Terrestrial/Satellite (DVB-T/T2/S/S2) transmitter and receiver with a suitable modulation technique. The video is thus transmitted in real-time using USRP and GNU Radio. The transmitted video is simulated and tested with different code rates, modulation schemes and modes of transmission.Read More
