Title: Daily Chlorhexidine Bathing on Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections: Its Implications on Clinical Setting
Abstract: Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) are easily preventable but continue to threaten patient safety and increase healthcare costs. A well-known example of HAI is central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI), which is a primary bloodstream infection in a patient with a central venous catheter in place for at least 48 hours before the bloodstream infection developed [1]. The bloodstream infection is directly associated with presence of a central venous catheter.
