This may be due to the gender differences which is inherent in Indian society. Several socioeconomic factors like education, income, religion have an influence on health of women. Added to this is the disadvantage of living in a rural area. The paper deals with the various socioeconomic factors influencing health of women determined by chronic illness in rural area of Mangaluru taluk. Absence of chronic illness implies good health. The paper deals with both primary and secondary data to analyse the extent of chronic illness among rural women under different socioeconomic background.Read More
