Abrasion of hardfacing is a study of gouging abrasion, high stress grinding abrasion, and low stress scratching abrasion or erosion. Impacts of abrasive particulates induce additive effects to wear and material loss by embrittlement effects of carbides. Corrosion of hardfacing appears from galvanic, chemical and electrochemical effects. Slurry erosion of hardfacing is rendered as combined effects of different material loss mechanisms.Read More
