Title: What If Opportunities Are Conceived as Design Artifacts?
Abstract: This essay is a rejoinder to Foss and Klein's (2020) article suggesting that the opportunity construct should be supplanted by a "Beliefs–Actions–Results" operational framework. While the framework has merits, their call to use it in lieu of the opportunity construct is debatable. In this essay, I highlight a fallacy in their argument and offer an alternative view that not only embraces the framework, but also retains the opportunity construct.
