Title: Acoustic Images Observed by Directional PFB Microscope
Abstract: Directional acoustic microscopy has been expected to play an important role in the development of ultrasonic microspectroscopy (UMS) for use in material research[1]. A cylindrical lens was introduced to the scanning acoustic microscope system to develop a directional microscope for the study of anisotropic materials[2]. This microscope has been called “a line-focus-beam (LFB) microscope”, and quantitative measurement methods for material analyses have been successfully established for material analyses using this microscope[3].
