Abstract: In the final paper, the topic of property insurance was discussed, with an emphasis on fire and elemental damage. The paper consists of a theoretical and a practical part, where an example is given of calculations performed by property insurance companies. Insurance is a service activity that provides security to all concerned whose assets or integrity may be compromised by the operation of various hazards. Property insurance is one form of insurance where the main objective is to protect the insured property of the insured against the occurrence of the insured event. The insurance contract obliges the insurer to pay the insurance if the insured event occurs, and the contractor undertakes to pay the insurance premium. Essential elements of an insurance contract are insured risk, insurance premium, insurance and insured event. There are two types of insurance: life and non-life insurance. Fire and natural damage insurance are property insurance. It is a specific insurance covering damage or loss due to fire, for repair and replacement of parts of damaged property, etc., up to the amount of insured sums. This form of insurance covers damage caused by fire, explosions, storms, lightning, hail, floods, and damage to additional risks if so agreed (water spill, earthquake, snow or ice mass, crash or impact of aircraft, ...).
