Title: Combined Rotor Suspension in Passive and Active Magnetic Bearings as a Prototype of Bearing Systems of Energy Rotary Turbomachines
Abstract: The paper presents a laboratory rig of a rotor in a combined passive-active magnetic-electromagnetic suspension. It is a prototype of complete magnetic suspensions of small and medium-sized rotary machines, such as turboexpanders and pumps. A physical implementation was performed for one of possible variants of a full magnetic suspension of the rotor, including one axial active and two radial passive magnetic bearings. Methods, algorithms and discrete control devices were developed for an active magnetic bearing. A proposed computer system for measuring and processing signals that characterize a vibrational state of a rotary machine allows to control dynamic parameters. The detailed experimental data represent the laboratory rig parameters.
