Abstract:Objective To investigate how to establish a stable model of partial liver transplantation in rats by improving technical skills.Methods Orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT)50% partial liver transpla...Objective To investigate how to establish a stable model of partial liver transplantation in rats by improving technical skills.Methods Orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT)50% partial liver transplantation (50%PLT) and 30% partial liver transplantation (30%PLT) were performed according to two-cuff technique.Operative parameters and survival rates were observed and analyzed.Results One week survival rate of OLT,50%PLT and 30%PLT were 91.7%,66.7% and 8.3% respectively,with significant statistical difference (P0.01).Causes of death in partial liver transplantation were primary graft nonfunction induced by small-for-size syndrome,pulmonary infection,distortion of the anastomosis of suprahepatic vena cava,thrombosis of infrahepatic vena cava and portal vein.Conclusion Lessening the mechanical injury in liver procurement,meticulously back-table operating of hepatic graft,improving the anastomosis quality,reducing the anhepatic phase and the vena cava clamping period,and restoring the recipient body temperature would be the key points to successful establishment of partial liver transplantation model in rats.Read More
