Title: The Effect of Middle Manager’s Transformational & Transactional Leadership on Organizational Commitment - The Mediating Role of Motivation -
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of leader`s transformational leadership and transactional leadership on employee`s organizational commitment. In the hotel industry, and the mediating effects of employee`s motivation in the relationship between transformational leadership, transactional leadership and organizational commitment. Data were collected from the employees of five star hotels in Busan, South Korea. The data were analyzed using frequence, reliability, and confirmatory factor analysis, and SEM(structural equation modeling) with AMOS 21.0 and SPSS 20.0. The results are as follows. First, transformational leadership and transactional leadership had a statistically significant influence on motivation. Second, transformational leadership and transactional leadership had a statistically significant impact on organizational commitment. Third, mediating effects of employee`s motivation in the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment was confirmed.
