Title: Design of an Ultrasonic Nondestructive Testing System for Composite Materials
Abstract: The mechanical properties of materials and structural parts, particularly fatigue life, dimensional stability, corrosion resistance and brittle fracture, are significantly affected by residual stress, the detection of residual stress has great significance for the prediction of future mechanical behavior of materials. Among many materials, the composite material cannot receive the echo amplitude and reflection time due to its high attenuation rate and small debonding surface. The ultrasonic reflection cannot quantitatively determine the defect. Therefore, this paper designs a system for ultrasonic nondestructive testing of composite materials, which uses high sampling frequency and large incident energy to improve the detection accuracy of materials. Among them, the appropriate type of power amplifier and high-frequency sampling transceiver are selected to collect the internal reflection signal waveform of the material, and the ultrasonic detection of the composite material has high detection precision through experimental verification.
