To provide a higher-accuracy prediction of unsteady jet flow, the scale-resolving delayed detached-eddy simulation approach is implemented on unstructured meshes using the edge-based reconstruction schemes. The jet far-field noise is calculated with the help of the Ffowcs-Williams and Hawkings method. The efficiency of the resulting "unstructured" algorithm is demonstrated on two popular cases: a subsonic unheated jet of Mach number 0.9, and a sonic underexpanded hot jet.Read More
