Title: Graphene-based Porous Materials for Advanced Energy Storage in Supercapacitors
Abstract: Combining the advanced merits of both graphene and porous materials, graphene-based porous materials have gained considerable interests because of high surface area, tailored porous structure, outstanding electronic conductivity, and diversified components. These advantageous features endow these emerging graphene-based porous materials as very promising electrode candidates for advanced electrochemical capacitive energy storage in supercapacitors. This book chapter summarizes the state-of-the-art fabrication approaches for two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphene-based porous materials with micro-, meso-, and macro-porous structures, highlighting the unprecedented importance of porosity in the performance enhancement in supercapacitors, including electrical double layer capacitors, asymmetric supercapacitors, lithium ion supercapacitors, flexible supercapacitors and micro-supercapacitors.
