Title: Cp2TiCl2-catalyzed borylation and hydroboration of α-olefins with dichloro(diisopropylamino)borane
Abstract: The reaction between aryl substituted α-olefins and dichloro(diisopropylamino)borane catalyzed with Cp2TiCl2 leads to trans-1-alkenyl(chlorodiisopropylamino)boranes in high yields. Aliphatic α-olefins in this reaction give borylation and hydroboration products, namely, trans-1-alkenyl(chlorodiisopropylamino)boranes and alkyl(chlorodiisopropylamino)-boranes. A proposed catalytic cycle for the Cp2TiCl2-catalyzed borylation of α-olefins with i-Pr2NBCl2 is discussed.
